I've been writing for a long time and in lots of different styles. I tried writing short stories and ended up writing novels and self-publishing them. But I have this large file of stories of all shapes and sizes. 

I thought Substack would be a good place to share my unpublished stories with you. I’m not saying that they’ll all be good, I’m just saying that they are stories written over the last twenty-three years since I decided when I was 50 to try writing stories instead of just telling them.

I’m hoping to attract readers who enjoy a wide range of stories, long and short, happy and not-so-happy. I’ll also be posting writing progress letters about what I’m doing, what’s going well, and what I’m struggling with. Writing is a learning process so I hope to share what I’m learning about writing and myself with you.

Once a week I’ll post a story from my archives. Sometimes when the story is long, it’ll be in two or three parts. To start out, all subscriptions will be free. If in the future I decide to start paid subscriptions… well, I’ll have to think about that one some more.
